Purpose of the Visit
- Observation: Observed various departments within the hotel, including front desk, housekeeping, food and beverage, and guest services.
- Interaction: interacted with hotel staff to understand their roles, responsibilities, and daily tasks.
- Learning Experience: The visit provided practical knowledge that complements our theoretical studies.
Key Observations and Learnings
Front Desk Operations:
o Checked-in guests, handled reservations, and managed inquiries.
o Learned about room allocation and guest registration processes.
Housekeeping Department:
o Explored housekeeping procedures, including room cleaning, linen management, and maintenance.
o Understood the importance of cleanliness and attention to detail.
Food and Beverage Services:
o Witnessed restaurant operations, menu planning, and food presentation.
o Discussed service standards and customer satisfaction.
Guest Services:
o Interacted with concierge and bell staff.
o Learned about guest requests, transportation arrangements, and local recommendation
